MagneGas (OTCBB: MNGA): US Patent Office Grants Patent

MagneGas (OTCBB: MNGA ), a producer of a metal working fuel and natural gas alternative made from liquid waste, today announced that it has been allowed a patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office covering the following items:

The technological design to process water-based liquid wastes (the Company already holds additional patents covering other aspects of the MagneGas™ Technology). A new electrode design that allows for longer electrode life (thereby reducing maintenance and materials costs). An upgrade to the existing MagneGas™ Refinery that makes possible a power ramp to 10 MW.

"This patent allowance is a significant technical achievement and one that further secures our position in the market," stated MagneGas CEO and Chief Scientist Dr. Ruggero Santilli. "It should serve as enforceable protection for the sale of our technology as it applies to the recycling of municipal wastewater into MagneGas™ fuel, sterilized water and inert solids. It also allows us to further evolve the technology in specific ways, such as operating efficiency and capacity, under additional patent protection."
